SETAC North America 35th Annual Meeting

11 September 2014

The SETAC North America 35th Annual Meeting is a 5-day event jam-packed with training and learning opportunities. More than 2,300 scientists, assessors, regulators and managers will gather to gain knowledge and skills in the latest cutting-edge environmental research and science. You will have a chance to connect with and learn from a diverse group of representatives from academia, business and government from more than 40 countries. You will accomplish specific learning objectives and have the chance to make valuable connections with other professionals in your own and related fields.

The first day of the meeting offers professional training courses designed to help you freshen existing skills or learn something new. The daily program consists of more than 1,800 platform and poster presentations over 4 days. Session tracks cover topics such as aquatic toxicology and ecology, ecological risk assessment, environmental or analytical chemistry, terrestrial or wildlife toxicology and ecology, and risk management, remediation or science policy. Special symposia and daily keynote speakers will tackle emerging and topical events and research. Again this year, several sessions will be recorded and made available online after the meeting, allowing you to keep learning and to share the experience with your coworkers back home.

Demonstrating technological and scientific resources and products, the Exhibit Hall features more than 60 businesses and organizations that support environmental research. Networking opportunities and area tours during your lunch break or after hours give you the opportunity to connect with other scientists outside the session rooms. And if you want to hear from the next generation of scientists, students from across the globe will attend this meeting to present their work and to interact with professionals in mentoring and leadership events.

So mark your calendars for 9–13 November […]
